Job Description

Academy of Dance is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic dance instructor to teach beginner classes. The ideal candidate will be well-rounded in all areas of dance, have previous teaching experience, and be confident leading engaging, age-appropriate classes for children ages 2 and up. The successful candidate must be able to teach weekly classes using an established curriculum while ensuring students make consistent progress throughout the season. They should also be creative and willing to contribute fresh ideas to help strengthen and grow our dance program.
Responsibilities include:
Teaching weekly classes Following the studio curriculum and lesson objectives while tracking student progress. Contributing new class activities, teaching ideas, and curriculum enhancements. Planning and teaching classes that are organized, engaging, and developmentally appropriate. Choreographing routines for our annual performances. Maintaining excellent attendance and punctuality. Creating a positive, encouraging, and professional classroom environment. Communicating effectively with studio leadership and working collaboratively with other instructors.
