Job Description
Overview Tuesdays | 6:15-9:00 PM We're looking for someone who: Has strong ballet technique and teaching experience Is confident and qualified to teach pointe Enjoys working with dancers of various ages and levels Is reliable, professional, and enthusiastic Creates a positive, encouraging, and inspiring classroom environment Has experience working with children, teens, and/or pre-professional dancers This is a wonderful opportunity to work with dedicated dancers and become part of a supportive and passionate studio community. We have a great group of supportive coaches and teachers and are looking for someone to join us! . Duties Design and deliver dynamic ballet lessons tailored to our competition team students. Develop comprehensive curriculum plans that incorporate choreography, dance instruction, and creative movement exercises Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students Maintain organized lesson plans, attendance records, and progress reports for all students Foster a love for the arts by encouraging creativity through improvisation, performance opportunities, and visual arts integration Requirements Proven experience in teaching ballet or other forms of dance, with a focus on working with children or youth programs Strong background in choreography, dance instruction, and curriculum development within the performing arts Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies suitable for classroom settings Ability to engage students through energetic teaching methods and adapt lessons to diverse learning styles Experience working with students of varying ages, including preschool or early childhood education is preferred Familiarity with musical instruments or theater experience is a plus for integrating multidisciplinary arts activities Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for arts education and youth mentorship This paid position is ideal for passionate dance educators eager to make a meaningful impact through creative arts instruction.
