Tutu School is looking for a kind, imaginative, and reliable ballet teacher to join our magical world of twirls, tiptoes, and tutu dreams! At Tutu School, we believe every child should know what it feels like to dance their own story. We're a boutique ballet school for children aged 6 months to 8 years, with a curriculum that blends classical technique with creative movement and storytelling. What You'll Be Doing:
Teaching weekly ballet classes to children ages 0.5-8 using our storybook-based Tutu School curriculum Creating a warm, welcoming, and playful class environment where children feel seen and celebrated Incorporating music, props, and storytelling to bring ballet concepts to life Managing classroom behavior with patience and creativity Communicating with parents and caregivers in a professional, friendly manner Supporting light retail operations - using our POS system to assist families with merchandise purchases (leotards, tutus, etc.) Helping keep the studio clean, organized, and looking magical (light tidying before/after classes) Facilitating in-studio and offsite community events and promotional activities Attending paid training and shadowing sessions to learn the Tutu School method
Who You Are:
Have a background in ballet or dance (formal training preferred, but teaching experience with young kids is gold) Natural with children - patient, silly, and warm-hearted Comfortable singing along to music, leading imaginative games, and wearing a tutu (or at least being around 10 of them at once!) Dependable, punctual, and organized Available to teach weekdays, evenings, and/or weekends Willing to complete online and in-person training Able to commit to a consistent teaching schedule and support substitude opportunities
Bonus Points If You:
Have early childhood education or preschool teaching experience Have experience with customer service or retail POS systems
