Dance Coach Schedule:
Part-Time — approximately 16 hours per week
Student Levels:
2nd Grade through 12th Grade Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and experienced Dance Coach to lead and inspire students from 2nd through 12th grade as part of our extra-curricular activities program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance instruction and a passion for working with children and teenagers. The Dance Coach will create engaging, age-appropriate classes that develop students' technique, confidence, creativity, teamwork, and appreciation for dance. Responsibilities Plan and teach engaging dance classes for students in Grades 2-12. Adapt instruction and choreography to different ages, skill levels, and abilities. Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment. Develop students' dance technique, coordination, musicality, and performance skills. Create and prepare choreography for an end-of-school-year dance show. Prepare students for performances, showcases, and/or school events as appropriate. Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff. Maintain a safe and supportive environment during all activities. Help contribute to the growth and development of the school's extra-curricular dance program. Qualifications Previous experience teaching or coaching dance, preferably with school-age children and adolescents. Strong knowledge of dance technique and choreography. Excellent communication, organization, and classroom-management skills. Energetic, patient, creative, and enthusiastic approach to working with students. Ability to work with a wide range of ages and experience levels. Conversational French is a plus. Relevant dance training, certification, or professional experience is preferred.
