Job Description
Splitz Dance Academy is a fast growing, family friendly dance studio in Novato, California (established in 2015). We pride ourselves in using age appropriate & tasteful choreography, music and costumes. Our goal is to create a nurturing environment for students of all ages and skill levels to have a unique and memorable dance experience. We are dedicated to helping foster a great love for the art of dance in children and in our community. Splitz Dance Academy provides high quality dance training, while motivating and inspiring a new generation of performers. We are seeking reliable, experienced and passionate dance instructors for youth (ages 3-17 years). If you have experience teaching any of the following styles we would love to hear from you; ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary or preschool dance. We have the need for;
- An energetic & patient preschool dance/creative movement teacher
- Patient & passionate teachers for our recreational students and competitive teams We are looking for individuals with strong work ethics who can commit to an entire dance season (September 2026-May 2027).
QUALIFICATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Minimum two years experience teaching youth dance (or preschool movement).
- Professional dance experience and/or BFA in dance preferred
- Punctual, Organized, Responsible and Reliable
- Great classroom management skills
- Responsive & communicative employee
- Be able to deliver clear instructions and expectations to students
- Building a classroom culture in which students love coming to their dance lessons
- Comfortable interacting with parents in a professional manner
- Able to create age appropriate choreography on children efficiently for presentation
- Able to choose age appropriate music for children's classes & performances
