Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Afterschool Dance Coach to inspire and guide children in their dance education. This role involves creating a positive, engaging environment where students can develop their dance skills, confidence, and love for movement. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, strong classroom management skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for fostering creativity and physical activity in young learners. Responsibilities Lead afterschool dance classes for children of various ages and skill levels, ensuring a fun and safe learning environment Develop age-appropriate lesson plans that promote creativity, coordination, and confidence Manage classroom behavior effectively, encouraging respectful and positive interactions among students Incorporate elements of childhood development, early childhood education, and behavior management into teaching strategies Ensure the safety of all students by adhering to proper safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized space Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and class updates Assist with setting up dance equipment and materials needed for classes Foster an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and abilities Qualifications Experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or recreational settings such as daycare, tutoring, or sports coaching Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate young learners Passion for dance, movement, and inspiring children through creative arts This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives through dance education while fostering their growth in a supportive environment.
