Job Description
Santa Teresa Academy of Music and Dance is seeking a part time dance instructors Instructors at Santa Teresa Academy of Music and Dance teach character development and leadership skills to youth and adults. The ideal candidate will have strong skills and experience in teaching several dance styles including ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop. Other experience includes choreographing and staging performances, creating lesson plans appropriate for different skill levels/ages, and facilitating a safe and positive classroom environment. Candidates must be comfortable with and enjoy teaching a wide range of ages and skill levels.
Other qualifications include:
- The ability to set and remain accountable to personal goals
- To be coachable and eager to learn new skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills so you can be an effective mentor and coach and so you can prepare clear student evaluations.
- Working as an effective team member staging studio productions, executing special events, and attending regular staff training and meetings.
