Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans tailored to the needs and skill levels of students. Instruct students in various dance styles, focusing on technique, performance, and creativity. Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student growth and confidence. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Organize dance recitals and performances to showcase student achievements. Collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary programs that may include elements of photography or special education. Engage with parents regarding student progress and any necessary adjustments to lesson plans. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching methods. Experience Previous experience working with students in a dance or educational setting is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles to effectively support students' growth. Familiarity with lesson planning techniques that cater to diverse learning styles. Skills in sewing or costume design are a plus for creating performance attire. Experience in tutoring or special education is beneficial for addressing individual student needs.
