Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Dance Instructor in Lakewood, CO, where your passion for dance and dedication to teaching will inspire students of all ages! Ballet/Barre Hip-hop/K-pop Heels Tai Chi Auditions June 20 and 21, 2026 Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive dance lesson plans tailored to different age groups and skill levels Lead lively and motivating dance classes that promote technique, coordination, and self-expression. Manage classroom dynamics effectively by maintaining discipline, encouraging participation, and fostering a supportive atmosphere. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with diverse learning needs, including those in special education or early childhood education programs. Incorporate creative elements such as choreography, photography projects related to dance performances, or theatrical components to enrich lessons. Support students' personal growth by providing constructive feedback and celebrating their achievements. Maintain a safe environment by enforcing safety guidelines during physical activities and managing behavior proactively. Experience Proven experience in teaching dance styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, K-pop, Hip-hop, heels and/or tai chi Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to various age groups including preschoolers and adults. Classroom management skills with the ability to engage students effectively while maintaining discipline. Experience working with children or students with special needs is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Familiarity with behavior management strategies and classroom experience in educational settings.
