Part-Time Ballroom & Latin Dance Instructor (Female Preferred) About Joyful Movement Joyful Movement is a welcoming, community-centered dance studio focused on helping people feel confident, connected, and truly themselves on the dance floor. We specialize in Ballroom, Latin, and social partner dancing, with a strong emphasis on emotional expression, partner connection, and making dance accessible to everyone—especially beginners and wedding couples. We are the deliberate antidote to intimidating, performative dance culture. Our space is warm, encouraging, and rooted in joy. Position Overview We're looking for a part-time female dance instructor to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who is personable, reliable, and passionate about helping people fall in love with dancing. You'll primarily teach: Private lessons (weddings, beginners, social dancers) Occasional group classes and events Dance Styles (Training Available) Experience in any of the following is a plus, but not required: Salsa, Bachata, West Coast Swing East Coast Swing, Mambo, Bolero Ballroom (Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep) Social styles (Hustle, Nightclub 2 Step, Argentine Tango) We provide training for the right candidate—personality and people skills matter most. What We're Looking For Warm, friendly, and professional demeanor Strong communication and people skills Reliable and punctual Passion for dance and helping others grow Ability to create a fun, safe, and encouraging environment Comfortable working with beginners and wedding couples Schedule & Availability Part-time (evenings primarily) Current availability includes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings (Thursdays are typically booked) Compensation $30-$35 per hour (lesson-based pay) Opportunities for growth as the studio expands Why Join Joyful Movement?
