Job Description
Dance Instructor About us At Dance Central, our mission is to instill confidence, build grit, and unleash the unique potential in each and every dancer that becomes part of our family. We aim to provide a safe, healthy environment where every dancer is seen, celebrated and consistently challenged! Our core values include teamwork, integrity, respect, excellence and grit. Our studio is growing, and we are in search of a passionate, energetic new teacher to join our family for our TENTH season! The position starts this fall. The studio is located in Middlefield, CT, about a 10 minute drive from I-91 and a 15 minute drive from Route 9. Styles taught at our studio include: Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Hip Hop, and Acro. Ages of students range from 2 years through to adults. We are specifically in search of a teacher comfortable with dancers ages 2-10 and basic Ballet. We are looking for teachers that are: Dependable, on time, prepared for class Able to provide their own transportation Great with children, experience teaching children Going to provide age appropriate choreography Very passionate about dance education Very knowledgeable and experienced in their style, preferably in more than one style Able to commit to teaching weekly for at least a full season (September-June) Willing to attend (paid) special events such as recitals, competitions (if you were to be a teacher for a competition class), staff meetings, etc. Team players - at Dance Central our #1 priority is to create and maintain an environment where all the dancers, parents, and staff feel like family!
