About Studio D:
Studio D Center for Performing Arts, LLC provides high-quality dance education for students ages two through adult, offering training in a wide range of styles including ballet, creative movement, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, hip hop, lyrical, composition, and improvisation. We are a nurturing and inclusive studio committed to creating a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where students can explore their passion for dance. Our mission is to help each dancer develop strong technique and artistry while prioritizing proper training, confidence, and overall well-being. We believe in fostering a positive atmosphere where students can build lasting friendships, grow as individuals, and develop a healthy sense of self. Studio D offers a variety of programs to meet each dancer's goals, including recreational, pre-competitive, and competitive classes, as well as master classes and seasonal dance camps throughout the year. Private lessons are also available upon request. Founded in 2006 by Owner and Director Dona Wassell, Studio D continues to be a place where dancers of all levels are encouraged to grow, achieve, and thrive.
Position Overview:
Studio D is looking for a passionate Advanced Tap Dance Instructor to join our team and dance family! The ideal candidate should have a solid background in rhythm tap dance, plus experience teaching teen-level classes. The ideal candidate should be outgoing, friendly, reliable, and energetic and they should have the ability to create a fun and safe space for students to dance in, while ensuring that students are engaged, inspired and motivated. Advanced Tap Dance Instructor:
Availability to teach dance teen-level rhythm tap dance class on Monday evenings Create and execute weekly lesson plans in rhythm tap Choreograph and teach tap dance routine for annual recital Provide a structured, yet fun and creative environment for students Desired Skills & Experience of the
Advanced Tap Dance Instructor:
High School diploma or equivalent Previous teaching experience is required (at least 1 year) Several years of studies in the art of dance is required. Rhythm tap dance is a must! Excellent ability to communicate effectively and appropriately to diverse classes Energetic, Outgoing, Reliable, Driven and Creative Demonstrate patience and leadership skills
