This dynamic role offers the opportunity to empower individuals through the art of braiding, fostering creativity, confidence, and cultural appreciation. As a Braiding Instructor, you will lead engaging classes, share your expertise, and inspire students of all ages to develop their braiding skills in a welcoming and supportive environment. Your energy and dedication will help cultivate a positive learning atmosphere where students can thrive and express themselves through hair artistry. Duties Lead hands-on braiding classes for diverse groups, including children ages 15- 19 yrs old ensuring clear instruction and personalized guidance Demonstrate various braiding techniques, styles, and trends to inspire students and enhance their skills Develop lesson plans that cater to different skill levels, from beginners to advanced learners Manage classroom dynamics effectively, maintaining a positive, respectful environment conducive to learning Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students improve their techniques and build confidence Maintain a clean, organized workspace with all necessary tools and materials ready for each class session Communicate clearly with students about class expectations, safety procedures, and progress milestones Requirements Proven experience in teaching braiding techniques or similar hair styling methods Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage students of various ages and backgrounds Excellent communication skills to explain techniques clearly and foster an inclusive learning environment Prior experience working with children and adults in educational or childcare settings preferred Ability to demonstrate patience, enthusiasm, and adaptability during lessons Knowledge of current hair styling trends and cultural significance of braiding styles Reliable availability for scheduled classes and flexibility to accommodate different learning needs Join us as a Braiding Instructor in Washington DC and make a lasting impact by sharing your expertise while inspiring creativity!
