Job Description

Woodland Fine Arts Academy is seeking a passionate, dependable, and collaborative Dance Instructor to join our Dance Department for the 2026-2027 season. WFA is a Christ-centered fine arts academy committed to artistic excellence, character development, and fostering a lifelong love for the arts. We are looking for instructors who are invested in student growth, work well within a team environment, and are excited to contribute to a unified departmental vision. Available Classes Tuesdays Ballet & Creative Movement (Ages 3-5) | 5:30-6:15 PM Beginner Ballet | 6:30-7:25 PM Beginner Contemporary/Modern | 7:30-8:25 PM Thursdays Beginner Jazz | 6:30-7:25 PM Intermediate Ballet | 7:30-8:25 PM Applicants may be considered for all classes or a portion of the schedule based on qualifications and availability. Responsibilities Plan and teach engaging, age-appropriate dance classes Provide quality technical instruction while creating a positive learning environment Foster student confidence, discipline, creativity, and artistry Follow department curriculum goals and class objectives Collaborate with department leadership and fellow instructors Receive and implement feedback professionally Prepare students for performances, showcases, and other academy events Maintain professionalism in communication, classroom management, and attendance Qualifications Previous dance teaching experience required Strong training and teaching experience in Ballet Training and teaching experience in Jazz required for Jazz classes Training and teaching experience in Contemporary and/or Modern Dance required for Contemporary/Modern classes Experience teaching young children preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Dependable, organized, and professional Teachable and receptive to feedback Ability to work within an established curriculum and department structure Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to the growth of the department Alignment with WFA's Christ-centered mission and values is preferred Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications.
