This dynamic role involves designing engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and nurturing students' love for movement and self-expression. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, patience, and expertise in various dance styles to help students develop their technique, confidence, and enjoyment of dance. Whether working with children, teens, or adults, you will play a vital role in promoting physical activity, artistic growth, and personal achievement. Duties FOLLOW a comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating various dance styles such as ballet, theater dance, and contemporary. Lead engaging dance classes that emphasize proper technique, artistic expression, and enjoyment while maintaining a safe environment. Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a focused and respectful learning atmosphere. Provide individualized tutoring and feedback to help students improve their skills and overcome challenges. Organize performances, showcases, or recitals to showcase student progress and boost confidence. Collaborate with parents, guardians, or adult learners to discuss progress and set achievable goals. Incorporate creative elements such as photography or theater techniques to enrich the dance experience when appropriate. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching dance across diverse age groups, including early childhood education or preschool experience preferred. Strong knowledge of various dance styles including ballet; familiarity with choreography, lesson planning, and curriculum development is essential. Excellent classroom management skills combined with the ability to motivate and inspire students of all backgrounds. Experience working with children or adults in educational or recreational settings; background in childcare or special education is a plus. Ability to incorporate additional skills such as sewing for costume creation or culinary experience for themed events is advantageous. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and childhood development principles to support a positive learning environment.
