Job Description

Dance Teacher
Published:
06/30/2026 Monsignor Edward Pace High School in Miami Gardens, Florida, seeks a qualified and experienced full-time High School Dance Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The successful candidate will plan, organize, and implement an effective instructional program. All duties must be performed in alignment with the mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will be based on certification and years of experience.
Hours:
7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in dance education or a related field, with experience teaching at the high school level. Must provide at the time of resume, a copy of your Florida Department of Education Teaching Certification in Dance, grades 6-12. Must obtain catechetical certification from the Archdiocese Office of Catechesis within three years of hire. Knowledge and skill in the use of instructional technology, including iPads in the classroom. Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar forms is a plus. Excellent presentation skills using instructional technologies. Excellent classroom management and demonstrated ability to engage students. Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills, including a clear speaking voice. Must be fully committed, supportive, and respectful of the mission, teachings, and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church. Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code, and a genuine passion for the well-being of our students.
