In this lively role, you will inspire young dancers by leading engaging, energetic dance classes that foster creativity, confidence, and a love for movement. You will create a fun, safe environment where children can explore various dance styles, develop their skills, and express themselves through movement. Duties Lead daily dance classes in styles such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, or contemporary, tailored to different age groups and skill levels Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote technical skills and artistic expression Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a positive and inclusive environment for all children Support campers in building confidence through encouraging feedback and personalized coaching Organize fun performance activities or mini showcases to celebrate campers' progress and boost morale Collaborate with fellow instructors and camp staff to coordinate activities, schedule lessons, and maintain safety protocols Capture memorable moments by taking photos of campers during activities to document their growth and enjoyment Qualifications Proven experience in teaching dance or working with children in educational or recreational settings Strong knowledge of dance techniques such as ballet, jazz, or theater arts; familiarity with choreography is a plus Excellent classroom management skills to foster discipline while maintaining a lively atmosphere Background in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for young learners Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members of diverse backgrounds Experience in early childhood education or preschool settings is preferred Additional skills such as photography, sewing for costume creation, culinary arts related to nutrition education, or special education experience are considered valuable assets This role is ideal for energetic individuals passionate about dance and eager to make a positive difference during the summer months.
