Must:
have dance teaching experience and experience with children.
Preferred:
a college degree in dance, working on a degree in dance, or equivalent professional dance training/experience. More About the Dance Teacher Position We are looking for a motivated, energetic professional to join our staff and create a warm, welcoming environment for our dance students at their weekly ballet classes within their assigned preschool or elementary school. Applicants must be knowledgeable of ballet and creative movement, and must be capable of teaching basic ballet movements and terminology to young children, as well as managing behavior as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching dance to children and may have a degree in dance or be obtaining a college degree in dance or have professional training in dance. The ideal candidates also have experience with caring for and/or instructing children and have the ability to effectively communicate with parents and school staff. Employees will choose the dance classes they will work, as available, and commit to a 12-week session for fall-winter session by contract (and hopefully continue teaching in future sessions).
