Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate Children's Dance Instructor to inspire young dancers and foster a love for movement and creativity. In this role, you will design engaging dance lessons tailored to children's developmental stages, teach various dance styles such as ballet and theater dance, and create a positive, inclusive environment that encourages self-expression and confidence. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help cultivate a lifelong appreciation for dance while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all students. Responsibilities Develop age-appropriate dance curricula that incorporate fundamental techniques, creativity, and fun. Lead dynamic dance classes for children of different ages, ensuring each student receives personalized attention. Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a safe, respectful, and motivating learning environment. Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that incorporate elements of theater, movement, and rhythm. Support students' emotional and physical development through tailored instruction and encouragement. Incorporate photography or video documentation of performances or class activities to showcase student progress. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, or school staff to provide updates on student achievements and address any concerns. Requirements Proven experience in teaching dance to children or in early childhood education settings. Strong knowledge of ballet, theater dance, choreography, and classroom management techniques. Ability to develop creative curriculum plans that align with developmental milestones. Experience working with children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education accommodations. Excellent communication skills to engage students, parents, and team members effectively. Background in classroom experience with behavior management strategies. Additional skills such as sewing for costume creation or culinary experience for themed activities are a plus but not required. Join us in shaping joyful, confident young dancers!
