General Function:
Under the direction of the Director, as an After School Coach you will be responsible for picking kids up from schools, classroom management, daily lesson planning, organizing and implementing daily sports activities, light daily cleaning and assisting the Director and other members of the Team as needed while following Elite Skillz standards, values and culture. To qualify for our amazing team, you MUST meet the following requirements:- Be over the age of 18.
- Have experience working with children ages 4-13 in a sport or classroom setting.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Be outgoing, enthusiastic with a positive attitude for success! :)
- Own a smartphone or computer for regular text and email communication.
- Able to work Monday
- Friday , 1pm-6:30pm and some weekends.
- Be able to assess the student's progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Use effective teaching strategies to engage and motivate students
- Provide guidance and support to help students overcome challenges
- Utilize classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment
- Attend weekly training sessions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students of different ages and backgrounds
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Experience in sports coaching, or other relevant fields is beneficial
