Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Dance Instructor to inspire students of all ages to discover the joy of movement and self-expression through dance. In this dynamic role, you will lead engaging dance classes, develop creative curricula, and foster a positive learning environment that encourages growth, confidence, and a love for the art of dance. Whether working with children, teens, or adults, your enthusiasm and expertise will help students unlock their potential and enjoy the transformative power of dance. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating various styles such as ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, theater dance, ballroom and contemporary movement Lead lively, motivating dance classes that promote proper technique, creativity, and enjoyment Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students Provide personalized tutoring and feedback to support students' progress and build their confidence in dancing Plan engaging lessons that integrate elements of choreography, performance skills, and cultural context Collaborate with parents or guardians for younger students to communicate progress and encourage ongoing participation Maintain organized records of attendance, student development, and lesson plans to ensure consistent quality of instruction Skills Strong background in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, theater dance, ballroom or related styles with demonstrated expertise in choreography and technique Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to diverse learning needs Proven ability in teaching and classroom management across various age groups including early childhood education and preschool settings Skilled in working with children, teenagers, or adult learners with patience and enthusiasm Knowledge of behavior management strategies to foster a positive learning environment Familiarity with childhood development principles and special education needs as they relate to dance instruction Additional skills such as photography for promotional purposes or sewing for costume design are considered a plus but are not required Join us as a Dance Instructor to ignite passion for movement in your students while sharing your love of dance!
