QUALIFICATIONS
1.Teaching certificate (license) from the MA DESE in TBE or ESL. 2.Multilingual language proficiency preferred 3.At least three years of successful teaching experience with English language learners 4.Experience working with parents to plan activities and events to develop multilingual parent engagement throughout the district 5.Commitment to working collaboratively with multilingual parents of Brockton Public Schools 6.Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for events 7.Comfort in public speaking in multilingual settings
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Work with the Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC) Coordinating Council to plan, develop, and facilitate programs and events designed at promoting multilingual parent engagement and student achievement. 2.Work with the Department of Bilingual/ESL Services in the development of a BPAC Calendar 3.Secure resources for planned events•parent notification, flyer translations, facilities, interpretation, teacher/paraprofessional participation, childcare, etc. 4.Collect data on the efficacy and quality of BPAC events and use data to plan future programs/activities. 5.Organize and facilitate annual BPAC meeting with superintendent, as required by the LOOK Act of 2017.
