Silver Spring, Maryland (Montgomery County) BBA Afterschool Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and dependable Cheer/Dance Instructor to lead engaging after-school activities for elementary-aged students in Silver Spring, MD. This is a great opportunity for cheerleaders, dancers, choreographers, performers, teachers, youth instructors, or anyone passionate about movement and working with children.

Session Length:

Pay:

$45 per session ($30 per hour)

Position:

Part-time, in-person Monday through Friday, depending on program scheduling No lesson planning required Curriculum and activity guidance provided Program Focus Instructors will teach the basic fundamentals of cheer and dance through fun, age-appropriate activities, including: Basic cheer motions, cheers, and chants Beginner dance movements and simple choreography Rhythm, coordination, and timing Creative movement and group routines Teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship All activities must be age-appropriate and conducted safely. Responsibilities Lead engaging cheer and dance sessions for elementary-aged students Teach basic cheer and dance fundamentals Demonstrate movements and beginner routines Encourage creativity, confidence, participation, and teamwork Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment Follow BBA#39;s curriculum and program guidelines Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership Ideal Candidates Cheer and dance instructors Dancers, performers, and choreographers Coaches and youth activity instructors Teachers, substitute teachers, and camp counselors College students and recent graduates with relevant experience Anyone who enjoys teaching children Qualifications Cheer, dance, choreography, or related experience preferred Experience working with children is a plus Patient, energetic, creative, and dependable Reliable transportation to the program location Must successfully complete required background checks Join BBA Afterschool Inc. and help students build foundational cheer and dance skills while developing confidence, coordination, creativity, and teamwork.
