Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Tumble/Dance Instructor to inspire children through dynamic movement, tumbling, and dance classes. In this role, you will lead engaging sessions that promote physical activity, coordination, and confidence while ensuring a safe, fun environment for all participants. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, possesses strong sports coaching skills, and has a background in tumbling, dance, or martial arts. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to foster young athletes' growth and love for movement. Responsibilities Lead lively and structured tumbling, dance, and movement classes tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Develop creative lesson plans that incorporate fundamental gymnastics, dance routines, and sports-specific training techniques. Ensure safety by supervising participants closely, enforcing behavior management strategies, and maintaining proper equipment use. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding class progress, safety protocols, and upcoming events. Demonstrate proper techniques for tumbling, gymnastics skills, martial arts moves such as karate or judo, and other physical activities. Maintain a positive environment that encourages teamwork, confidence-building, and fun while promoting physical health. Stay current on first aid and CPR procedures (including AED operation) to respond promptly to emergencies if needed. Skills Experience working with children in a sports or recreational setting with excellent behavior management skills. Strong background in tumbling, dance, martial arts (such as karate or judo), or gymnastics with sports coaching experience preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Ability to lead team-based activities while demonstrating leadership qualities in a fun and motivating manner. Certification in first aid and CPR (including AED operation) is highly desirable to ensure participant safety.
