DESCRIPTION
Design and teach dance master classes aligned with course objectives, CTE outcomes, and NJ VPA standards Deliver age-appropriate, skill-level–appropriate instruction in technique, style, or repertory Introduce students to current industry practices, trends, and career pathways in dance Model professional behavior, rehearsal etiquette, and workplace expectations Provide constructive, actionable feedback to support student growth and artistic development Adapt instruction in real time based on student ability, engagement, and learning needs Lead structured warm-ups and cool-downs that promote injury prevention and safe dance practices Communicate clearly with the supervising dance educator regarding lesson goals and pacing Incorporate discussion of the guest artist's professional journey, training, and career experiences Foster an inclusive, respectful, and supportive learning environment Follow school policies related to student safety, supervision, and conduct Manage class time effectively to meet instructional goals within the scheduled master class period Participate in Q&A sessions, demonstrations, or reflective discussions when appropriate Support student understanding of professional expectations in auditions, rehearsals, and performances
