Our mission is to help young athletes build confidence, stay active, and develop a lifelong love of sports in a fun, positive environment. We are currently seeking a part-time pickleball coach who is passionate about working with children and making a positive impact in their communities. About the Role As a Pickleball Coach, you'll lead engaging programs for players of different ages and skill levels. You'll teach pickleball fundamentals, rules, techniques, and strategy while using drills, games, and match play to help players build confidence and improve. Coaches should be comfortable adapting instruction to different skill levels and creating a positive, welcoming environment. Travel to different program locations throughout New Jersey and New York may be required based on assignments. Responsibilities Teach pickleball fundamentals, rules, techniques, and strategy Lead engaging drills, games, and match play Adapt instruction to players of different ages and skill levels Assist players with skill development and progression Provide clear demonstrations, instruction, and feedback Create a welcoming, positive, and inclusive learning environment Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and enjoyment of the game Ensure proper use of equipment and maintain a safe playing environment Set up and organize equipment before and after each session Communicate professionally with players, parents, and program staff when needed What we look for: Strong Communication Skills-You enjoy working with children and can communicate clearly with athletes, parents, and fellow coaches while creating a positive learning environment. Teaching & Coaching Ability-You're comfortable teaching a variety of sports and can adapt your coaching style to different age groups and skill levels. Physical Fitness-You're active, energetic, and comfortable demonstrating skills, participating in drills, and leading fun, high-energy sessions. We're also looking for coaches who are: Reliable and dependable. Energetic and enthusiastic. Positive role models for young athletes. Great with children. Comfortable coaching multiple sports. Have reliable transportation. Willing to travel to different program locations. Pickleball coaching or competitive playing experience preferred PPR certification preferred
