Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and passionate Tap Dance Instructor to inspire students ages 9-17 through the art of tap dancing. In this role, you will be hired September 2026-June 2027, with room to grow with us in the future. We are looking for someon to teach foundational and advanced tap techniques, and foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity, discipline, and confidence. Duties Develop comprehensive curriculum plans that incorporate rhythm, timing, choreography, and musicality tailored to various skill levels. Lead dynamic tap dance classes for children, ensuring all participants are engaged and motivated. Manage classroom behavior effectively while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment conducive to learning. Provide personalized feedback to students on their technique, performance, and artistic growth. Choreograph recital routines for our year end performances. Clean our competitive dancers choreography so they are ready for competition. Maintain accurate attendance records and lesson plans. Skills Extensive experience in teaching tap dance techniques along with choreography development. Strong background in curriculum development tailored for diverse age groups and skill levels. Experience working with children. Skills in choreography creation, dance instruction, and performance coaching.
