Acrobatics Dance Teacher

Acro Dance Instructor (Part-Time) 716 Dance Lab - Lancaster, NY Do you love teaching and inspiring the next generation of dancers? We're looking for a skilled and passionate Acro Instructor to join our team this season!

Position Details:

Pay:

$17-$20/hour (based on experience)

Schedule:

Part-time (1-2 nights per week)

Start:

Begin this season through team teaching/training, with opportunity to grow into a larger role for the Fall 2026 schedule

Hours:

Weekday evenings (after 5:15 PM) This role will begin with co-teaching select classes and substitute teaching to ensure the right fit for both you and our studio.

What We're Looking For:

Minimum 2-3 years teaching experience Strong background in acrobatics/tumbling Experience teaching a wide range of ages (preschool through teens), especially ages 4-9 Positive, dependable, and team-oriented Passion for developing both technical skills and confidence in young dancers Ability to make classes engaging, structured, and fun

Required Acro Skills:

Confident in spotting back walkovers and back handsprings Ability to set up and teach progressive tumbling drills Strong understanding of tumbling progressions for all levels (ages 4-18) Experience teaching safe stretching, flexibility, and contortion technique Ability to incorporate ballet and jazz fundamentals to create well-rounded acro classes Experience teaching partnering and basic lifts Why Join Us?
