Dance Teacher

Job Overview World of Dance is seeking two passionate and dedicated Dance Instructors to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students of all ages. Our studio offers a 25-week program that runs from October through April.

The class are:

Pre-School program with Ballet, Jazz & Tap Hip-Hop ONLY classes that encompass Acro, Hip-Hop tricks, stylization, and choreography. Combo Classes for ages 7-16 that can range from one hour to two hours based on the age bracket. These classes are sectioned off to offer ballet as a warm-up, Jazz, Tap & some Hip-Hop. If any of these styles fit your background, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Teach various dance styles, including ballet, contemporary, and other genres as needed. Plan and manage classroom dynamics Provide individualized instruction and feedback to enhance student performance and confidence. Maintain a safe and clean environment for all classes, ensuring proper equipment usage. Collaborate with other instructors to create interdisciplinary programs that may include elements of theater or culinary arts. Utilize behavior management techniques to support students' emotional and social development. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching dance, with a strong understanding of curriculum development and lesson planning. Background in dance is a MUST Experience working with children in educational settings, with an emphasis on classroom management skills. Knowledge of childhood development principles and special education strategies is advantageous. Familiarity with photography or videography for documenting student performances is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
