Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact as a contract Occupational Therapist working with elementary students for the 2026-2027 school year. Based near Saugerties, NY, this role is ideal for professionals passionate about providing school-based OT support and fostering student growth and independence. The assignment begins September 3rd, 2026, and wraps up on June 24th, 2027, offering steady, rewarding work throughout the academic year. Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule, working 30 hours over five days per week.
Key Qualifications:
Active New York Occupational Therapy license required Experience or strong interest in school-based settings, specifically with elementary school ages Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families Strong communication and organizational skills Dedication to individualized, evidence-based interventions and progress monitoring
Position Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to elementary students' needs Deliver direct and consult OT services in accordance with IEPs and district goals Maintain comprehensive documentation and progress notes Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies Educate and support school staff and families in fostering student success
