As a Teaching Artist, you'll work directly with 5th and 8th grade students, helping them develop cooperation, respect, focus, and self-expression through the transformative experience of social dance. What You'll Do Lead engaging in-school dance residencies (10-week programs, 2 days/week, 20 total sessions) Teach foundational social dances Create a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom culture Encourage teamwork, confidence, and respectful communication among students Partner with teachers, schools, and program staff to support student success What We're Looking For A genuine passion for working with youth ages 10-13 Experience in dance, theater, performing arts, education, or youth programming Strong communication skills and a confident classroom presence Ability to manage classroom behavior with empathy and professionalism Dependable, flexible, and committed to completing the full residency schedule Willingness to travel throughout Northeast Ohio (primarily Cuyahoga County) Reliable transportation and prompt communication via phone/email Ability to maintain a professional dress code (no sneakers) Additional Requirements Attend mandatory paid training Pass
