Description:
Are you extremely passionate about teaching students the art of dance? If so, Mpower may be the place for you. We are a competitive studio in the Hamilton area that is getting ready to embark on our 7th season! We are looking to expand our staff to better provide variety in teaching styles and offer a wider range of available classes. Our Performance Program Lead will oversee the growth and execution of our Performance (Recital) Program. The ideal candidate must have experience in a variety of styles and an professional background working with children ranging 3-18 years in age. This person will assist the studio Directors with coordinating and planning our annual Winter and Spring Recitals. This is the perfect opportunity for a leader who wants to take the success of this Performance Program into their own hands while helping in teaching and managing classes. Additionally, we are looking for instructors to help maintain our competition dance program. Instructors will help in setting choreography and providing intensive instruction to members of our competition dance program.
Responsibilites:
Prepare proper curriculum for beginner to advanced level dancers Complete assessments for each dancer to ensure proper class placement Enforce dress code as outlined in the dancers' policies and procedures Assist in the coordination and execution of both Winter and Spring Recitals. Clear communication with families Prepare dancers for stage performance twice a year Assist in Costume selection in a timely manner for stage performances ( if applicable ) Work alongside Studio Directors to build transitional curriculum for Performance dancers who want to shift into the Company program. Proper classroom management Proper time management
