August 2026 Rollie Pollies is seeking enthusiastic and engaging Dance Instructors to lead our "Music & Movement" classes beginning August 2026. About Rollie Pollies Rollie Pollies is an indoor play center in Austin designed for children ages 0-10. Our programs encourage movement, imagination, confidence, creativity, and social development through play-based enrichment. Position Overview We are looking for dance instructors who enjoy working with children and families in a warm, upbeat, and supportive environment. This role includes teaching both caregiver-participation classes and independent classes for older children. Maximum class size will typically range between 7-10 students depending on age group. Classes may include beginner dance, rhythm and coordination activities, creative movement, music exploration, and introductory choreography in a fun, age-appropriate format. Responsibilities Lead engaging dance and movement classes for children ages 2-10 Create and submit lesson plans for approval prior to instruction Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment Encourage confidence, creativity, and participation among students Communicate effectively and professionally with parents, caregivers, and staff Maintain classroom safety and organization Adapt activities to various ages, personalities, and developmental stages Support students through transitions and classroom routines Qualifications Previous dance instruction or dance performance experience required Experience working with children and families required Strong communication and classroom management skills Positive attitude, patience, reliability, and enthusiasm CPR and First Aid Certification required (training can be provided if necessary) Must successfully complete a background check References required
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
