There are 3 pillars to our mission: Enrich, Enlighten & Encourage. We enrich our local community by presenting professional dance performances with Principal Guest Artists from America's leading ballet companies. We enlighten through arts education programs, focussing on offering dance classes to all members of our communities We encourage through community outreach by providing free performances for underserved communities to attend. We are expanding all of our programs, by joining Chamberlain Ballet you are joining a team of passionate and professional dance enthusiasts that are committed to sharing their love of ballet with as many people as possible.
  • Job Overview
  • We are looking for an experienced, energetic dance instructor to lead our Releve after school dance program.
Releve is one of our Arts Education outreach programs that provides free weekly dance classes to children in underserved communities. The instructor will follow a dance curriculum and lead a 1 hour dance class with a focus on ballet technique. The role requires an experienced dance instructor that is confident in teaching a class of up to 20 children aged between 6 and 11 years old. We currently run 4 classes a week at the following times: Monday
  • 2:45pm
  • 4:15pm Tuesday
  • 2:45pm
  • 4:15pm Wednesday
  • 2:45pm
  • 4:15pm Thursday
  • 2:45pm
  • 4:15pm Classes run in alignment with the Plano School District Academic Calendar. Instructor must be available to teach these class times on a weekly basis throughout the school year, as this is an after-school program.
  • Skills
  • Experienced dance instructor with at least 2 years of teaching experience
  • Experience in ballet and other dance styles
  • Ability to work effectively with students of all ages
  • Experience in elementary education is advantageous
  • Fun, energetic and the ability to control a classroom
  • By-Lingual in Spanish a bonus!
