Job Description

Rainier Dance Center is looking for an experienced Jazz & Tap teacher for our level 1-7 students for our 2026-27 dance season (Sept 2026-June 2027). Hours are weekday evenings between 4-9pm and can be flexible with your schedule. We can offer between 4-8 hours per week, with one or two shifts per week, based on the number of hours you prefer. You must have at least 5-6 years of Jazz and/or Tap teaching experience with all ages and levels. We're also in need of an experienced Pre-Ballet/Creative Dance/Ballet & Tap combo teacher for Saturdays and weekday afternoons! If you also teach these genres and dancers ages 3-6, in addition to Jazz & Tap, and you're interested in more classes, we may be able to give you up to two weekdays with 3-5 classes each AND up to 6 classes on Saturdays. RDC is located in Rainier Beach. We have a diverse student population, we are community-minded, and value inclusion, body positivity and our dancer's health (both mental and physical) above all else. We're looking for the right fit - someone who has many years of teaching experience in all of these genres, who wants to build relationships with their students and whose philosophies around teaching and young people are similar to ours!
