Ensures that daily care of members is a key priority. Plan and create lessons, communicate and lead program participants through program curriculum and activities. Responsible for strict adherence to all program policies and procedures related to safety and conduct rules and other regulations. Requires flexible hours to work daytime, evening and/or weekends. Responsible for the set up and take down of equipment before and after classes. Employees are held responsible for the duties of the job and all other duties assigned by their supervisor. Responsible for strict adherence to all policies and procedures related to safety and conduct rules and other regulations and functions as designated first responder at off-site locations. Minimum of 1-3 years experience leading dance programs. Position requires practical understanding and comprehensive knowledge of dance technique, body alignment and posture and terminology. Must have a basic understanding and ability to write age appropriate choreography. Must possess skills in customer service and program execution. Creativity, initiative, flexibility, eagerness to seek out and involve others and genuine concern for participants are essential. Must be able to communicate effectively with parents, youth, staff and leadership team. Uphold and enforce center and association policy and emergency procedures.
