Preferred Qualifications A master's degree is preferred. Job Description Summary The University of South Alabama's department of AMSTI Contracts and Grants is seeking to hire an AMSTI Assistant Director. Interested candidates should apply to be considered. Essential Functions These are the job duties required of the position. Essential Functions Supports the effective operation, leadership, and continuous improvement of the AMSTI site by working collaboratively with the Site Director to provide strategic oversight, program implementation, and service delivery to participating schools and educators. Assists with coordinating site operations, supporting professional learning initiatives, conducting school visits, facilitating communication with educators and partners, and managing administrative and programmatic responsibilities as assigned. Collaborates with the Site Director to strategically distribute leadership duties, maintain consistent site presence, and respond effectively to the evolving needs of the AMSTI program. Serves as a liaison between the Director and staff, and ensuring staff can accomplish their tasks on time and within a budget. Communicates and collaborates with Director on AMSTI projects. staff. Assists in planning, setup, and supervising PLOs according to instructional and resource components identified by
AMSTI-ALSDE
Coordinates ongoing mentoring and content-deepening opportunities for current and potential specialists and facilitators/trainers. Maintains records of the following in the appropriate system (Monday.com, Banner, Concur, etc.) Regular and prompt attendance. Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required.
