Job Summary Job Summary The Executive Director leverages extensive expertise in Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Pedagogy (CLRP) to design and implement academic initiatives that address service, opportunity, and knowledge gaps. This role oversees the evaluation, planning, coordination, and monitoring of instructional services to strengthen districts' capacity to deliver culturally and linguistically responsive instruction for all students. Leading a collaborative multi-disciplinary department, the Executive Director builds district leadership capacity and provides educator development through coaching, professional learning, and technical assistance aligned to integrated academic content across Alameda County schools. The role also serves as ACOE's internal CLRP expert, leading efforts to monitor implementation, identify resources, curate and share information, and guide strategic initiatives. In addition, the Executive Director partners across the agency and with external partners to review and approve Local Control and Accountability Plans (LCAPs) and to design and deliver differentiated assistance aligned with Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) priorities in support of Alameda County's 18 school districts.

Qualifications Education & Experience:
Valid California Teaching Commission Credential (required) Valid California Administrative Services Credential (preferred) Five (5) years of educational or related experience at a county or district office or other organization leading successful education programming Three (3) years of experience coaching/mentoring instructional leaders Experience supporting the interpretation and implementation of the California Preschool Curriculum Frameworks and Common Core State Standards Proven track record of delivering effective professional learning and presentations Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record
