Job Summary:

The Associate Director of Academic Advising and Graduate Student Services in the Institute for Public Health and Medicine (IPHAM) Center for Education in Health Sciences leads academic advising and graduate student initiatives through strategic coordination, policy interpretation, and student-centered programming. The role manages student onboarding and degree progression efforts, ensures compliance with academic requirements, analyzes student data, and collaborates with faculty and campus partners to promote student success and timely completion of a graduate degree across three educational programs.

Specific Responsibilities :

Administration Oversees strategic direction of state-of-the-art, cutting-edge programs designed to assist students to manage their academic experiences. Creates and manages administrative process and practices ensuring the seamless flow of work and services. Operationalizes goals & objectives; ensures that resources are created or obtained. Manages customer service; creates associated practices & procedures & metrics to measure success. Partners with peer institutions to share best practices, cutting-edge delivery of services and resources. Researches state-of-the-art enhancements, market/economic conditions and implements changes that improve resources and services. Advising/Counseling Manages programs and services that provide customer service oriented, student centered guidance and counsel based on individual circumstances, preferences, etc. and in compliance with all associated policies, rules and regulations. Oversees & ensures that day-to-day operations are appropriately managed, efficient and effective. Operationalizes goals & objectives; ensures that resources are created or obtained. Manages customer service; creates associated practices & procedures & metrics to measure success. Manages advising & counseling for complex situations partnering with internal/external resources to provide alternatives and solutions based on specific individual circumstances.
