JOB TITLE
Director of Instruction, Federal Programs, After-School Programming

SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Directs, coordinates, and supports curriculum, instruction, assessment, federal programs, and after-school programming to ensure high-quality educational opportunities, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the district.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Must have no convictions of a felony or past criminal history, be in good health as evidenced by completion of a physical examination as prescribed by the Board. Must be of good character and moral behavior. 3-5 years of school administrative experience. Must have demonstrated people skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Title I Coordinator (parent & family engagement; private/home school consultation) Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessments STEAM Showcase/Student Exhibitions Supervision of Administrative Assistant Comprehensive Improvement Plans assist schools and district committees District Instructional Coaches Gifted/Talented Services Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS, RTI, Interventions) RTA/MAF Grant Extended School Services Textbook/Instructional Resources Primary Report Cards (K-2) Student Teacher Placements Early Entry to Kindergarten District Literacy Plan/District Writing Plan SBDM Councils - point of contact, policies, and training District Arts Contact Administer federal programs (e.g., Title I, Title II, Title III, Title IV, McKinney-Vento, and other applicable grants). Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. Develop and monitor program budgets and expenditures. Complete grant applications, amendments, and required reports. Coordinate program evaluations and monitor the effectiveness of federally funded initiatives. Provide technical assistance to school administrators regarding federal programs. Oversee district after-school and summer learning programs. Coordinate program schedules, staffing, transportation, and resources. Monitor program quality, participation, attendance, and student outcomes. Ensure compliance with grant requirements and program expectations. Foster partnerships with community organizations to expand learning opportunities. In addition, the director will administer the following areas jointly with the other instructional directors: Instructional Technology - Digital Learning Coach(es) Professional Development Program (i.e., Professional Learning, PL Summit/PD Academy, curriculum power sessions, PLCs, etc.) Teacher Induction and Mentoring Strategic Planning Systems Work Learning Walks/5 Core Instructional Practices Literacy and Math Grants Teachers of the Year Recognition Perform other tasks as assigned by the Superintendent
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Will be required to complete all required training and attend in-service sessions. Performs assigned tasks in a timely manner. Consistently displays self-control with parents, students, and school personnel. Maintains a clean workstation (bus, desk, office, etc.) and does maintenance as needed. Be clean, neat, and appropriately dressed. Be consistently responsible and display an attitude of honesty and credibility Show enthusiasm, interest, and concern for the total program and its efficient operation. Maintains student control. Operate equipment in a safe manner at all times. Demonstrate positive behavior toward the purposes and goals of the Barren County Public Schools. Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Work year is comprised of 185 days with 55 extended days as designated by board policy. Salary commensurate with the adopted certified personnel salary schedule. Sick leave and personal leave are provided as stated in board policy.
