Qualifications:
High school diploma/equivalent; Associates Degree in Office Administration/Secretarial training preferred Experience in a busy office environment; able to multitask Superb organizational skills Experience with word processing and spreadsheets, especially Google Suite Docs/Sheets, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with database programs and online programs preferred Knowledge of the Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and Drive) Understands and complies with confidentiality requirements Demonstrates fast keyboarding skills (65+ wpm) Ability to work within fast-paced environment and with minimal supervision

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge of office operations, practices and procedures; have exceptional organizational skills; have the ability to accomplish work with frequent interruptions; possess clerical and filing skills; demonstrate consistently and with the utmost discretion strict

of matters related to students and staff; demonstrate timeliness in completion of tasks; demonstrate a tactful, warm, friendly and competent public demeanor; have the ability to work cooperatively with others; have knowledge of and ability to operate office equipment such as chromebooks, laptops, shredders, copiers, scanners, etc.; possess speed and accuracy with keyboarding and word processing skills; is proactive with communication with vendors, staff, curriculum department staff, and Director of Curriculum; knowledge of and application of English usage and spelling; knowledge of and accuracy with basic mathematical functions; knowledge of how to use the various applications in the Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and Drive), and to create and enter data into various documents in the Google Suite.
General Areas of Responsibility:
Manages the online professional development database for teachers and staff. Assists staff with tuition reimbursement and overall tracking of their PDPs and graduate credits. Maintains electronic and paper records related to professional development, credits, and grants. Assists Director of Curriculum and Curriculum Department with various clerical tasks, including but not limited to: creating spreadsheets for educational programs, updating curriculum documentation, assisting staff with the online professional development database, tracking professional development attendance, scheduling meetings, photocopying, typing, filing, sending mailings, and completing various forms of data entry. Photocopies and distributes documents as directed by the Director of Curriculum. Distributes books or other materials related to curriculum or staff professional development. Develops and maintains purchase orders for items for the Curriculum Department and interfaces with vendors to facilitate this task. Specific job tasks: Types various documents, such as letters, memos, curriculum documents, miscellaneous reports. Data entry of essential information into the professional development database; creates and runs reports as directed by the Director of Curriculum. Maintains electronic and paper records as indicated by the Director of Curriculum. Makes telephone calls to staff, vendors, and others regarding school activities/business. Makes and/or returns telephone calls and relays messages for the Director of Curriculum. Types and sends e-mail messages as directed by the Director of Curriculum. Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Director of Curriculum. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

Regularly communicate and exchange information with students, staff, and the public, both in person and via telephone or email.
Possess Visual Acuity:
Must have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, and reading printed materials.
Move Occasionally:
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Lift and Transport:
Occasionally lift, move, or transport objects (such as files, paper boxes, books, or small equipment) weighing up to 30 pounds.
Perform Repetitive Motions:
Frequently make substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (e.g., typing).
Handle Occasional Bending/Reaching:
May need to bend, stoop, or reach for files or supplies. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee regularly interacts with students, staff, and the public.
