Director of Before & After School Enrichment Programs Oswego YMCA Full-Time | $30.00-$33.00 per hour
Locations:
Leighton, Mexico, Riley & Kingsford Schools Make a Difference Every Day The Oswego YMCA is seeking a passionate, organized, and innovative leader to oversee our Before & After School Enrichment Programs. This is an exciting opportunity to build and grow high-quality educational programming while leading a dedicated team that makes a lasting impact on children and families throughout our community. If you're an experienced educator or youth development professional who enjoys mentoring staff, developing curriculum, and creating engaging learning environments, we'd love to hear from you! What You'll Do Lead all Before & After School Enrichment Programs across four school sites. Develop engaging curriculum focused on academics, STEM, arts, physical activity, leadership, and social-emotional learning. Recruit, coach, supervise, and evaluate program staff. Build strong partnerships with school administrators, families, and community organizations. Ensure compliance with OCFS regulations, LEAPS requirements, and YMCA policies. Monitor program quality through regular site visits and staff coaching. Manage enrollment, budgeting, supplies, scheduling, and program growth. Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where children can thrive. Represent the YMCA within the community and help expand educational opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Educational Leadership, Social Work, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered). Minimum 2 years of experience in school-age education, youth development, or after-school programming. At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience. Experience with curriculum development, classroom management, and staff coaching. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Reliable transportation and ability to travel between program sites. Schedule This is a 40-hour per week position. The Director should be available during program operating hours, including:
Morning:
Approximately 6:45 a.m.-9:00 a.m.
Afternoon:
Approximately 2:45 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Additional daytime hours are dedicated to planning, staff development, school collaboration, and administrative responsibilities. Why Join the YMCA?
