Director of Secondary Education Position Category Administration Position Type District Administration Posting Start Date 6/25/2026 Posting End Date 7/3/2026 Position Start Date 7/15/2026 School District Stillwater City, State Stillwater , OK United States Description The Director of Secondary Education formulates and implements a vision of effective instruction for grades 7-12 aimed at developing and sustaining the highest possible level of progressive educational programs and services. The Director of Secondary Education focuses on closing the achievement gap for traditionally underserved students, ensuring equity in graduation rates and in college and career readiness while providing leadership for the curriculum, instruction program of the district, grades 7-12. The Director of Secondary Education shall facilitate programs, activities, and systems that support the educational process of students and staff grades 7-12. This includes, but is not limited to, facilitating the implementation of Oklahoma teaching standards, the development of curriculum maps, coordinating the textbook adoption process, coordinating professional development for secondary teachers, writing and managing the Carl Perkins Grants, providing support to secondary schools and will serve as the District Test Coordinator. Required Qualifications A Master degree from an accredited college or university is required. Principal Certificate from the Oklahoma State Department of Education is required. Ability to satisfy all state requirements to execute the teacher performance evaluation is required. Three years of successful teaching experience in a public school system is required. Preferred Qualifications Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Internet, Google Docs, presentation skills, and Email is preferred. Demonstrated effective presentation, collaboration, verbal and written skills is preferred.
