Job Description

The Director of Curriculum, Instruction & Federal/Special Programs provides strategic leadership and oversight of the district's instructional program and all federal and special program compliance areas, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning aligned to state standards while coordinating federal, state, and local requirements to support student success for all populations. This role leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of curriculum aligned to TEKS and state assessments; supports campus leaders and teachers through instructional best practices, data-driven decision-making, and professional development; monitors student performance data to drive instructional improvements; and coordinates district-wide assessment systems and resources. The Director oversees planning, implementation, and compliance for all federal programs (including Title I, II, III, and IV), manages grant applications, budgets, and reporting, and collaborates with stakeholders to evaluate program effectiveness and ensure equitable access. Additionally, the position serves as Title IX Coordinator, ensuring compliance, investigations, and training related to discrimination and harassment; Section 504 Coordinator, overseeing identification, evaluation, and accommodations; Emergent Bilingual (EB) Coordinator, supporting bilingual/ESL program implementation and student progress; CTE Director, leading Career and Technical Education program development aligned to workforce needs and monitoring funding compliance; and McKinney-Vento Liaison, ensuring identification and support of students experiencing homelessness and removing barriers to enrollment, attendance, and success.
