OPEN UNTIL FILLED AFTER 5 DAY REQUIRED POSTING PRIMARY PURPOSE
Provide all secondary campus instructional staff with appropriate curricular support that will result in students being better able to demonstrate competency on the state and local assessments. Ensure that the development and delivery of curriculum and the instructional program is effective and efficient, incorporates district goals, and supports student achievement at the secondary level.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education/Certification:
Master's degree in Education or related field Valid Texas teaching certificate/ Secondary certificate -preferred Preferred-Valid Texas principal's/id-management certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to analyze needs and facilitate the implementation of effective tier 1 instruction or intervention strategies that will improve student learning at the secondary level Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills Ability to present/disseminate information to both large and small audiences Facilitation and collaboration skills to effectively lead staff Ability to interpret data end effectively communicate results correlated to instruction Demonstrate leadership skills and mature judgment Display the skills to efficiently manage multiple tasks Ability to effectively promote and engage in professional learning communities at the secondary level

Minimum Experience:
At least five years of successful teaching experience as evidenced by performance evaluations Preferred- At least five years of successful teaching experience at the secondary school level as evidenced by performance evaluations At least three years of campus, district administration or curriculum leadership.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Develop and implement programs for the secondary level that result in increased student learning, student successes, and student outcomes. Develop curriculum, processes, programs, and resources for all secondary schools and ensure implementation within the secondary level. Responsible for assuring that appropriate resources within the district and the corresponding interventions are made available to meet the needs of every student. Collaborates with the Chief of Academics, Chief of Secondary, Principals and Director of Elementary Academics on a districtwide focus. Provide increased accountability by capturing, analyzing and presenting data to track students' progress and success. (college attendance, readiness and persistence, AP, IB, OnRamps, concurrent community college, and CTE enrollment, Financial Aid/FAFSA completion, Internship, CTE Pathways, Industry Certification, and Apprenticeship completion) Develop dual enrollment and articulation opportunities for both comprehensive school site and alternative education students for credit earning options in community college articulated courses as well as work-based programs. Support college readiness assessment programs including, but not limited to diagnostic data such as
PSAT/NMSQT, SAT, PSAT
8/9 and TSI. Provide instructional support and development of CTE courses, sequences, and programs Provide professional development for teachers, counselors, administrators, and partnering university, college, community based organizations and classified staff on college/career awareness, career preparation and academic integration. Provide and expand support for Career Readiness partners, including program advisory councils, local businesses, post-secondary partners, apprenticeship/internship councils and community based organizations, city and county municipalities, students, teachers, and parents. Foster and promote collegiality and team building through using collaborative decision-making processes. Responsible and accountable for broad decision-making authority within the secondary level but within the context of academic district goals. Assist secondary campus instructional leaders in designing, teaching, and re-teaching activities to increase students' ability to succeed. Responsible for evaluating and recommending programmatic changes to foster and enhance student success. Assist secondary campuses in analyzing state testing results and developing resources to help support student growth on state tests. Assist campuses with content evaluation and development when needed. Ensure compliance with all local policies and state and federal statutes at the District and secondary levels. Ensure that funds are distributed and expended with fiscally responsible and in compliance with the approved annual budget. Stay informed of state and federal curriculum instructional and assessment information, rules, and guidelines in order to facilitate compliance. Ensure confidentiality. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers including the Texas Educator Code of Ethics. Other duties as assigned.

EVALUATION
Evaluation will be based in part on overall effectiveness demonstrated by increased student learning within the High School level and the ability to nurture a dynamic, effective, productive team within the cluster area
