Exempt Scope of Job:
To manage and maintain curriculum processes and projects for undergraduate or graduate level. Ensures that the university's curriculum adheres to regional and state accreditation standards, UT System policies, other regulatory standards and institutional standards.Description of Duties:
Manages the submission of curriculum materials to be considered during the academic year to the applicable Committee ensuring all materials are complete and conducts a thorough review to ensure degree plans and course descriptions are aligned with internal and external rules. Provides direct support and expert consultation to college deans, associate deans, department chairs and staff in the development of programs of study and courses. Manages the annual maintenance and publication of the graduate/undergraduate catalogs. Coordinates the review/assessment of current curriculum to ensure that course/program is meeting intended objectives and funding agencies accreditation requirements. Develops and implements curriculum standards and guidelines and monitors the consistent formatting, content, and publication of requirements in programs of study within and across institutional platforms, websites, etc. Oversees the ongoing evaluation of the impact of curricular changes on previous and future degree plans and collaborates with the Office of Degree Audit and System Support to ensure modifications are applied to the degree audit to reduce any negative impact to students. Oversees the review of petitions to degree requirements and makes policy recommendations in response to recurring petition types. Designs and develops resources and materials and provides on demand or scheduled training/workshops on the use of the institution's catalog and curriculum management software system. Aligns curriculum and course work with a variety of quantitative and qualitative assessment methods. Develops and updates articulation agreements with community colleges to ensure successful transfer of applicable credits. Researches and responds to inquiries and requests for information related to curriculum and academic policy issues from faculty, staff and leadership. Conducts research on academic policies and collaborates with stakeholders to maintain and revise the publication of such policies. Works with and maintains frequent communication with the Graduate College, Degree Audit and Systems Support, the Office of the University Registrar, Graduate and Undergraduate Admissions, Undergraduate Advising and Financial Aid regarding curricular changes. Three (3) years of experience performing closely related duties or experience working with advising, degree auditing, or program development or experience working with compliance to external standards and regulations, or One (1) year of the required experience with a Master's degree from an accredited university.Preferred Experience:

Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Office Environment; some travel and weekend work is required. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. UTRGV is a distributed institution, which requires presence at multiple locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Work is performed primarily in a general office environment.Other:
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Adobe, the Windows environment, and internet research skills. Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete multiple tasks with attention to detail, within stated deadlines. Ability to adapt to constant change and periods of fast-paced, high-intensity work situations. Excellent proofreading and editing skills. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
