All individuals (district employees included) who are interested in this position must apply online through Frontline via the district website. PRIMARY PURPOSE
Primarily responsible, under the direction of the principal, for accelerating, enhancing, and supplementing the campus foundational program to ensure curriculum and staff development are aligned to improving student achievement and the campus successfully meets goals and performance objectives.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide assistance to administrators and teachers in developing and maintaining exemplary instruction. Screen and recommend programs and methodologies for use. Provide assistance in developing, updating, and managing the distribution of curriculum and related resources. Recommend expenditures relating to special materials, consultant services, and instructional materials. Provide liaison between the school and central office instructional staff. Assist with the development and implementation of campus goals. Plan and present campus staff development. Assist in interpreting school programs in the community. Assume responsibility for curriculum materials. Assist with student tutoring. Effectively and efficiently disperse and communicate curriculum information to staff. Assist department/grade level leads with weekly planning and collaboration. Participate in leadership meetings. Foster collegiality and team-building among staff. Work with administrators to effectively resolve conflicts. Facilitate and coordinate transition opportunities for students, families, and/or staff. Assist with coordination of the campus new teacher induction training including the mentor/mentee training throughout the school year. Participate in the campus RTI processes. Collect and review course syllabi or lesson plans, as needed. Coordinate district assessment testing on campus. Supervise academic extracurricular activities. Coordinate campus extended day/summer school programs. Work with the administration in the development of the Campus Improvement Plan and master schedule. Perform other duties as assigned that align to accelerating, enhancing, and supplementing the campus foundational program and improving the campus school-wide program.NOTE:

Education/Certification:
Master's Degree preferred (preferably in Curriculum and Instruction) Appropriate Texas Teacher Certificate - Texas Principal or Mid-Management Certificate preferred Five years of teaching experience Strong organizational skills Strong oral/written communication skillsEQUIPMENT USED

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress; frequent interruptions. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, pushing, and lifting. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment. May be required to lift and position students with physical disabilities; control behavior through physical restraint, and assist non-ambulatory students. Exposure to biological hazards. Work predominantly inside and exposure to noise; may work outside with exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather, too.PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT
