Job Description

Position Overview:
The Assistant Director of His Kids Christian Learning Center plays a vital leadership role in supporting the center's overall operations, spiritual mission, and daily management. This individual partners closely with the Director to ensure a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment for children, families, and staff. The Assistant Director helps lead with excellence in both administrative responsibilities and relational ministry, modeling a heart for service and a commitment to safety. This position requires a dedicated follower of Christ with a personal and active faith in Jesus. While membership at First Baptist Church Weatherford is preferred, candidates should be active members in church. The Assistant Director is expected to be aligned with First Baptist Church's mission, beliefs, and leadership, serving not only as an administrator but also as a spiritual leader and representative of the church within the childcare ministry.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Director in overseeing the daily operations of the childcare center, ensuring compliance with all state licensing requirements and policies. Support the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of staff, fostering a positive, professional, and Christ-centered workplace culture. Model and promote biblical values in all interactions with children, families, and staff. Help develop and implement age-appropriate, faith-based curriculum and programming. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment that prioritizes the well-being of every child. Build and maintain strong, respectful, and trusting relationships with families through clear, consistent, and compassionate communication. Step into leadership responsibilities in the Director's absence, ensuring continuity of care and operations. Assist with administrative duties, including record-keeping, enrollment, billing support, and reporting as needed. Serve as a primary point of contact for parents, addressing questions, concerns, and feedback with grace, discretion, and timely follow-up. Promote a welcoming and supportive environment where families feel valued, heard, and confident in the care of their children.
