California Single Subject Teaching Credentials:
2. Choir Assignment i. A Single Subject Credential in Music is required. -AND- 3. Drama Assignment i. A Single Subject Credential in one of the following areas is required: ii. English (ENG), issued prior to 2022; or iii. English (EN1), issued in 2022 or later. iv. A Drama authorization is preferred and must be attached to one of the English credentials listed above. Applicants who do not currently possess the Drama authorization will be required to obtain it within two (2) years of employment. 4. Appropriate documentation authorizing instruction to English language learners. 5. A minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience, preferably at the 7-8 grade level. 6. Knowledge of the elements of effective instruction, curriculum concepts and materials pertinent to the 7-8 grade level.
