Summary Join our vibrant arts education team as a Theater Educator, where your passion for the performing arts and dedication to inspiring others will come to life! Key Responsibilities Develop and implement innovative curriculum focused on theater arts, including acting, improvisation, stagecraft, and theatrical history Lead engaging classroom sessions and workshops tailored for children, teens, or adult learners, ensuring activities are accessible and inspiring Manage classroom environments effectively by applying behavior management techniques and promoting respectful collaboration Coordinate special projects such as student productions, community performances, or themed educational events Incorporate other artistic disciplines like dance singing, or visual arts into theater programming to enrich learning experiences Maintain detailed lesson plans, progress records, and assessments to track student development and program effectiveness Qualifications Strong background in curriculum development tailored for theater education across various age groups Proven teaching experience with children, preschoolers, or adults in educational or artistic settings Excellent classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment Experience in tutoring or mentoring students with diverse needs, including special education or early childhood education Knowledge of theater techniques along with supplementary skills such as sewing for costume creation or culinary experience for themed workshops Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate elements of childhood development and behavior management strategies Familiarity with technical elements such as Qlab a plus This role is perfect for energetic educators passionate about nurturing creativity through theater!
